 | snowy effect, very nice...what is the speed, did you use cooling filter? |
 | I don't remember the speed anymore, what I remember only was that I used a polarizing filter to make the exposure longer. |
 | Great images! Galing! Isang image lang nakuha sa entry ko. Not bad for beginners. :) Still havent submitted my 2006 entries yet. How bout you? Good luck po! |
 | Nagsubmit na ako yesterday, 25April, 5 entries. I'm still working on the other 5 so that would total to 10 entries. Same to you, Ronald. :) |
 | Wow, dami ha. Good luck!
Punta po ba kayo sa EPIX Day? (April 29)... |
 | bottleneck wrote on May 1, '06, edited on May 1, '06 i was there sa epix06. i submitted only 1 entry. :) goodluck po! |
 | Really? Have we met? What's the real name behind bottleneck? :) I submitted 11 entries. I wish for you to win too. I wish good fortune to ronald as well. :)
|
 | arnel villavicencio po. i was there from 930am til 8pm :) if u were able to shoot kharu inside studio 3, ako po yung hiniraman nya ng camera as her props. |
Umalis kasi ako ng OneWorkshop between 1:00 pm to 3:30pm. Nagshoot na lang ako by 4pm. Anyway, what other group do you belong to? pipho? photoworld? phphoto? Ur name sounds familiar eh.
|
 | active sa pipho, lurker sa phphoto, my handle there is flea26ph. |
 | ah, ok. :) Any camera clubs?
|
 | okay. I belong to Prize Photo Club, a cam club established since 1990. R club is an affiliate of the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation of the Phils. Ronald Ibay is a member of Framed Shots Camera Club na affiliate din ng Fppf. I'm sure you are familiar with Edwin Loyola diba? Member din sya ng Framed shots. |
 | yup, i saw edwin's works here at multiply tapos i was able to meet him last saturday. question lang po, what do i get if i join a cam club? recommended po ba kahit based ako dito sa laguna? |
 | naku, ang layo mo pala. Ang camera club kc namin meets every 2nd thursday of the month at 7pm here in Makati. While Ronald and Edwin's club meets during weekends. Every 3rd Sunday yata sila. Syempre, iba yung may camera club, kc may camaraderie among people of the same interest. We also have monthly assignments just like pipho pero sa min, we submit 8x10prints then we invite judges to judge the photos. Basically, hobbyist group lang kami. Actually, we are more on camaraderie kaya 2nd na lang yung magcontest kami every month. We do our monthly assignments just for fun. Joining camera clubs helps you hone your craft as well kasi the experts can teach or advice you. |
|
 | Naku sir. Hindi po ako member ng Framed Shots Camera Club.Ive seen Sir Edwin Loyola's photos. Very inspiring. Idol ko na nga sya eh. I wonder nakapag-subscribe ba ako sa egroups nila or blogspots. Freelance lang po kasi ako. Hobbyist lang talaga. But I'll be more than willing kung aampunin nila ako. hehehe. Or any other clubs. Kaso wala pa po akong Basic Photography Course na na-take *sigh* at wala pa din akong na-invest na magandang camera. Low-end digicam lng talaga *sigh ulit.* I wonder may kapangalan ako sa Pinoy Photographers. Member po ako ng phphoto and phdigitalart.
|
 | Sayang. Na-miss ko yung EPIX Day. *sigh ulit* |
 | Guys, I feel very old when you say "po" to your replies...LOL!! Hmmm, so Ronald if ur not a member of FS Cam Club, then kaanu ano mo yung Ibay na member nila? They are actually husband & wife tandem. Ako din makiki-"sigh" sa iyo dahil film-based pa rin ako eh, nakakahiya na nga yung itsura ng camera ko (eos 300), 8 years na rin sa kin to & my friends say may ROI na ako sa camera ko. But don't feel too bad about it, sabi nga nila eh, "It's the operator, not the equipment". Hobbyist din lang ako. FPPF is conducting a year-round workshop at Fort Santiago, why not enroll? P2.5k yata ang fee for 4 Sundays. Graduate kami pareho ni Sir Edwin L. dun. Sa club namin, gusto mo magpa-ampon???? :) I'm a member of phphoto too. |
 | Hi Arnel, why not post a message at phphoto inviting or suggesting Laguna members to form and start a club? Somewhere among the threads may nabasa ako na ganyan eh sa phphoto. Di ko lang alam kung nagmaterialize.....errr, or was it Las Pinas??? :) |
 | bottleneck wrote on May 3, '06, edited on May 3, '06 ok, wala ng "po". :-) pag may nag invite na lang uli na malapit dito sa amin. ayaw ko mag initiate, may day job kasi ako and i have 2 kids, baka di ko lang maasikaso. |
 | Sori sir. I dont even know him/her personally. Parang alang respect. Exempt na lang kita if you want. :) Dami namang Ibay dito. Siguro magtatagpo din landas namin. Sana ma-meet ko sila. "It's the operator, not the equipment". Saludo ako dyan. I tried enrolling sa FPPF before. Pero they require manual cam ata.
Can u kindly send me your email address so I could forward to you Ka Lito's answer regarding the workshop requirements? My email: orly@agmcalaw.com.ph. You don't need manual camera, anything from film to digital is allowed except point and shoots. Requirements ng club namin: You need to attend at least 6 months in a year to be regarded as member, regular, that is. Of course, you have to be updated with your membership due (P4k - but can be paid on staggered basis depending on one's financial status). I pay P500 every month until I get to pay the whole 4k. |
 | Thanks, Arnel. Although I'm sure I'm older than you and Ronald. Hehe. |
 | i'm turning 30 sa august. same school pala tayo nag graduate, PUP batch 96 ako, accountancy.
 | Thank you sir. You can forward it sa rmibay@yahoo.com. My contact info is in my profile. With regards dun sa club, I'll let you know. Thanks. |
 | Yes Arnel, still film-based. I also use colpan as it is the cheapest b&w film around. Although i have to admit the film is very contrasty. I have a folder here named Manila North Cemetery. All of the pictures there were taken with this cheapy film. I tweaked the levels at photoshop to decrease the contrast, then I colourized the images with a blue-violet tint to make the images feel more gloomy. Most of my color films are Fuji Superia 100, 400, YKL100 and a few slides (Velvia/Provia100). Well, most of the images here underwent photoshop. I just increase the saturation to make the colors really pop up. |
 | Oh by the way, Arnel, barely 4 months pa lang akong natuto sa photoshop. Photoshop is such a wonderful tool for us photographers, though digital manipulation is not my cup-of-tea. |
 | I have high respects for film based photographers! keep it up! but its always best to learn both film and digital |
 | both digital and film based cameras has their own pros and cons, film based cameras for one, makes you a more disciplined photographer. on the other hand going digital makes processing and viewing your photos faster.
anyway patience is a virtue! as long as you enjoy your craft good things will come to you. in other words...........dadating din yang digital mo! |
